Available for Puppies and Kittens aged between 6 weeks and 30 weeks of age (inclusive) for up to 8 weeks.
Cover provides a fixed amount of veterinary fees to cover emergency veterinary treatment for illness or injury required in this period.
No claim excess payable. Cover starts on the date that you receive your Certificate of Insurance from us and expires on the day that is eight weeks after the Commencement Date as shown on your Certificate of Insurance (the Expiry Date).
We will contact you before your Free Puppy and Kitten Cover expires to provide a quotation for you to consider your pets ongoing insurance needs with us.
If you choose to continue with a month-to-month policy and is this in place with us before the Expiry Date, any ongoing treatment your Puppy or Kitten requires will be covered up to the selected policy benefits you have chosen for your fur baby. We will waiver any additional waiting periods as we consider the time on risk with your new fur baby with us.
Free Puppy and Kitten Cover is non-transferable/ not redeemable for cash. All decisions we make on this cover shall be final.
We will pay up to a maximum sum of $1,000 NZD (incl GST) for all valid claims accepted by us.
This should take no more 48 hours. You will receive a Certificate of Insurance, which will include the terms and conditions of cover.

Should you decide to start a premium paying policy within the 8 weeks allowed, the level of cover will be changed to reflect the cover applicable to your new premium paying policy.
If at the time of any incident which results in a claim under this policy, there is another insurance covering the same illness, injury, bodily injury, death, damage, destruction, expense, or liability we will not pay compensation unless that cover has been fully exhausted.
A sudden/ unexpected external event which happens during the period of insurance resulting in physical bodily injury or death to your pet.
Any treatment of the teeth gums or mouth.
The amount you are required to pay as part of certain claims made under the policy if any.
This policy excludes all pets used for commercial/ security or trained for work.
Any clinical sign of injury or illness in your pet.
Clinical sign or symptoms of changes in normal healthy state resulting from one individual accident, including directly or indirectly related problems.
Changes in your pets’ state of health that are not caused by an accident, or any which may be resulting from gradual or biological cause.
Any illness or injury or complication directly resulting from an injury or illness, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed that has been identified or investigated by a vet or is otherwise known to you prior to the start of the insurance.
The period for which your pet is covered as shown on your Certificate of Insurance.
